Lake Sebu: Nature Tripping & Adventure

I was enticed to visit Lake Sebu because of the many good things I have heard about the place. I decided to book a flight to General Santos City to be able to get to Lake Sebu in South Cotabato.

What I did not expect was the friendliness of one of the locals who was with us on the plane to General Santos City. I did not know who she was, but I brought up a conversation about the itinerary of my friend and I during our stay in South Cotabato, as soon as the conversation ended, she offered to give us a ride to Marbel in Koronadal. It was the second time I hitchhiked, I caught a break yet again.

Adventure in Lake Sebu

The scenic landscape of Lake Sebu contrasted the adventurous activities one could do while staying there. My friend and I decided to see the 7 Falls and try the long zipline. There were two ziplines that are included in the P350 package we took (it included CD copy of photos). The rates are cheaper during weekdays and are P100 more expensive during weekends.

The long zipline over the falls and mountains was quite an exhilarating experience. The view of the falls from above was spectacular.

After experiencing the zipline over the falls, we decided to trek to the falls inside the mountains. We were only able to get to half of the 7 Falls because we wanted to get back in time for the cruise around Lake Sebu. We hired a habal-habal driver as our guide as well as our driver for the whole day, the standard rate is P500.

Scenic & Serene

The weather in Lake Sebu was perfect. It was just at the right coldness and warmth, no wonder why agriculture is good in this side of the Philippines. The scenic landscapes as we trekked through the mountains and drove through the countryside were captivating.

Lake Sebu is the perfect place to just walk around in. The day was slow, and the sights relaxing and picturesque.

Aside from the adventurous activities you can do, you can also immerse yourself in the culture of the T'Bolis that live in Lake Sebu.
