I squeezed in a trip to Biliran after a writing assignment in Samar. The province is a nice, laid back and idyllic place to visit. Sambawan Island has a beautiful overlooking view of the cove and the rock formations and the waterfalls are good places to hang out in.

Biliran is an underrated province that has yet to reach its potential. Other than Sambawan Island, you can visit the many waterfalls that are in the region. During my recent trip, I was only able to see two, Ulan-Ulan and Tinago Falls.

Biliran is one of the places I wanted to visit for some time now, and I finally got the chance to do so during my recent trip to Tacloban. Sambawan Island was on my itinerary, I decided to visit during my second day in the province.
