I was in Milan for a few days. It wasn't the main destination but it was a convenient city to visit for my trip to Iceland. Milan had regular (cheap!) flights to Reykjavik. 

I had a few days to spare, which I spent doing a bit of sightseeing.

I added Recife to my itinerary when I traveled around Brazil. I wanted to see other cities in the country other than the famous ones such as Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. I had a good time during my short stay in Pernambuco.  

You can spend a few days exploring Recife.

I included Tirana in my itinerary when I visited the Balkans. The city is a nice and laid back layover whenever you're visiting the region.

Kosovo isn't usually included in itineraries when traveling around Europe. I was in the Balkans and was curious about what the country had to offer. I had limited time during my trip around the region so I decided to visit Prizren for a couple of days.

In one of my trips to Austria, I visited the lovely city of Salzburg. The latter has plenty of old world charm and a lot of things to do to occupy visitors.

Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, was one stop I took when I explored the Balkans. I spent a few days here with a side trip to Ohrid.

The capital of Spain is a bustling city that's an eclectic mix of old and new. I was finally able to explore Madrid not just as a layover when I returned.

Sao Paulo is a huge and bustling city. It's the biggest city in Brazil and is home to many multinational and domestic companies. The city has an extensive bus and metro network that makes it convenient to reach various neighborhoods.

Brazil is one of the top places on my bucket list. I finally got the chance to visit. One of the places I visited was none other than Rio de Janeiro. It's a beautiful coastal city but has earned a reputation as a dangerous place to visit.

I often mistake Zurich as the capital of Switzerland (it's actually Bern). Zurich is one of the largest cities in the country, but it didn't feel that way during my visit. It has a laid-back vibe and attractions that can fill your days.
