Dining Out at UNWND Cafe and WYP

By On December 27, 2020

The pandemic has made it difficult to enjoy some of the things we have grown accustomed to doing such as dining and hanging out. Rules have relaxed and people are allowed to go out, eat out and hang out as long as establishments (and guests/diners) follow health protocols. Just to break my routine the last several months, I made my way to a newly opened hostel and restaurant in Poblacion, Makati.

Taste Testing Caffe Puccini at BGC

By On December 07, 2019
One of my favorite food is Italian. I make it a point to eat pizza, lasagna and spaghetti as often as possible. I don't normally go to BGC because of its distance from Quezon City and the traffic that takes place throughout the week and almost the whole day. However, for good food like what I had in Caffe Puccini, I could always make an exception.

Food Trip: Must-try Food in Zamboanga City

By On May 13, 2017
Zamboanga City, multicultural society in Zamboanga Peninsula, offers a lot to tourist. The colorful tradition that transcends from one generation to another. Its distinct culture which remains visible in their spoken languages, treasured heritages, and growing beliefs. And the delicious gastronomy that gives excitement in each trip.

A journey would not be complete without tasting the local cuisine of the place. Ranging from scrumptious seafood delights to fusion of Hispanic, Asian, and American cuisine, from all-time favorite desserts to traditional Zamboangueño, Tausug, Sama Banguingui and Muslim snacks, Zamboanga City is sharing a big contribution in promoting authentic gastronomic cuisines not just in Mindanao but the Philippines as a whole. With that, here are my picks for the must-try foods in "Asia's Latin City."

Taste Testing Nepal

By On September 08, 2014
I had no idea what to expect from Nepalese food, simply because I have never tasted any dish from this country. With no expectations, my friends and I dove into the different dishes that Nepal had to offer. I don't want to pretend to be a food connoisseur, but here goes something.

Where to Eat in Catanduanes

Catanduanes is not only home to unspoilt beaches, this province off Bicol also has affordable and tasty food.

Tasting Penang

By On February 26, 2014
After hearing rave reviews about the food in Penang, I decided to taste the dishes Penang had to offer.

For a budget traveler like myself, finding solace in street food is not only good for my pocket but also for my belly. I found several hunger quenchers along the different streets in Penang.

Food Tripping Melaka

Malacca was not only rich in terms of history, but their food also had its own story to tell.

Nyonya Laksa
I tried the food on the street along Jonker Street, the famous Jonker 88 restaurant, and the Nyonya food in Nancy's Kitchen.

Eat's Amazing Indonesia

By On January 06, 2014
An adventure to another country would be incomplete without tasting food from the warungs (eateries), street food, and restaurants. The diverseness of East, Central, and West Javanese dishes was an adventure in itself.

My trip to Burma would not be complete without tasting some of the food that this country had to offer. I've tasted a strange paste-like dish that tasted salty and spicy at the same time, and had delicious Burmese dishes for three meals a day.

Eats Amazing Hanoi!

By On September 07, 2013
Eating local cuisines is part of the whole adventure to other countries. During my visit to Vietnam, I got to taste some local dishes in some of the restaurants around Hanoi's Old Quarter.

You won't run out of places to eat because Hanoi's Old Quarter offers street food, food ala-carinderia (Filipino readers can relate to this), mid-priced restaurants, and high-priced restaurants. I'll be reviewing two of the restaurants I managed to eat in during my stay in Hanoi.

Outside the Temples in Siem Reap

By On February 20, 2013
After every temple run, I get the chance to explore what Siem Reap has to offer outside the confines of ancient ruins and temples. Siem Reap has an artistic and cultural vibe that I came to love unexpectedly. There was the typical backpacker restaurants, bars, and night markets, but there were also small, intimate family-owned restaurants and stalls that have endeared me to Siem Reap.

Pub Street

Cafe Juanita

By On December 24, 2012
I'm no foodie or expert when it comes to food but I know that when something tastes good I'd want to get more servings. The only comments I can give you about food are limited to "it tastes good", "it is sweet", "I like it" and other variations of these phrases. If you are looking for eloquence when it comes to food and its ingredients you've come to the wrong place. But I can share with you the prices of the food we ate when we ate at Cafe Juanita in Burgos Circle, Bonifacio Global City.

Whenever I scour the Web for restaurants to eat in I find it hard to find out how much the food costs because the posts or articles about the place discussed the food but rarely the price of the items. Yes, I know that the food was quite delectable but I also like to know how much it cost.

So here's a quick rundown of the food we ate when we went to Cafe Juanita and some comments like "I like this dish", "I think it's delicious", "I think its yummy" and so on and so forth:

Eating & Shopping in Bangkok

By On December 09, 2012
Eating and shopping in Bangkok is not a problem because of the cheap prices and different offerings. Honestly, I'm not a big shopper but I can seriously say that the items were cheap and definitely affordable.
