When you're looking for a great getaway that won't break the
bank, there are plenty of fantastic destinations out there to help you have a
wonderful holiday without going overboard on the spending.
There are package holiday favourites like Spain and Malta,
which offer a wonderful beach holiday experience with everything right at your
fingertips. From golden sandy beaches and bubbly resorts to fascinating
historic cities and glorious rolling countryside, these fabulous destinations
always tick all the right boxes.
Elsewhere, North African destinations like Tunisia and Egypt
serve up fascinating, sun-soaked holiday destinations with all the classic
ingredients of great beaches and first-rate resorts, complete with an
east-meets-west twist that adds a cultural flair to your holiday. For budget
holidays, you'll find plenty of low cost Tunisia holidays and there are always
great last-minute deals to be had on Egypt escapes too.
In
fact, when you want to book low-cost holidays one of the best ways to
do it is to book late. It might not present the best range of availability, but
it often ensures you get a great holiday for a knock-down price. The best way
to secure the cheaper prices is to keep your criteria as flexible as possible,
and consider alternative holiday choices such as a lower star rating, a
different resort, perhaps an apartment instead of a hotel, and even a different
departure airport than usual.
Other
ways of saving money on a holiday booking is to book early. You might not get
the same cut-price deals as a late booking, but you'll have longer to pay off
the cost of your holiday plus you'll often benefit from early bird discounts
too. Many tour operators allow you to pay in instalments too, which help to
spread the cost.
