I was on the last few days of my trip around Panay, that took me to Boracay, Antique, and Capiz (my last stop). I was looking for a homey and relaxing place to stay as I explored Roxas City, I then stumbled upon Roxas President's Inn as I searched online for a place to stay.
Respite in Roxas President's Inn
My trip around Panay didn't go as planned because of Typhoon Ruby. The province felt the force of the storm as it made its way westward. I almost got stranded in the mall, but I managed to hitch a ride with one of the mall's tenants just before night came.
Facilities
The hotel had a homey, old and charming vibe because of the furniture, old newspaper clippings, and the chandeliers in the hotel. I felt like I spent a few nights in my grandparents' home inside the hotel. I liked the warm ambiance that emanated from the inn. The inn also had its own restaurant that served Filipino and Western food, and of course the famous seafood from the city.
Rating: 4/5
Service & Staff
The staff and the service in Roxas President's Inn made my stay worthwhile. The staff were attentive and listened to the needs of guests. They asked about what the guests need and if they have eaten breakfast in the morning. They were more than willing to answer questions about the places to see in the city and how much the fare is for each destination. The inn was cleaned regularly and rooms were cleaned upon request.
Rating: 5/5
Room
The room was small but was furnished with everything I needed. There was cable TV and hot and cold water for showers. The bed was soft and comfortable, perfect for a good night's sleep.
Rating: 3.5/5
Location
Roxas President's Inn is ideally situated near the plaza. There are also a few local restaurants and stores nearby. You can easily get a tricycle ride to wherever you need to go just outside the inn. Also, the hotel is widely known in the city. You can tell the tricycle driver the name of the hotel and they'd know where it is.
Rating: 5/5
Pricing
Rooms start at P1100 (good for one person) to P2050 (good for three persons). The rooms come with complimentary breakfast. The price provides good value because of the complimentary breakfast and the comfortable and homey atmosphere of the room.
Rating: 4/5
