My Experience at Legend Villas

The Legend Villas is a unique hotel amid the urban sprawl of Mandaluyong; it has a distinctly Filipino design, along with first-rate service. I had the privilege of staying a night to experience all this accommodation has to offer.

My Room

The room I got was spacious and had a distinct look; there was plenty of room even for another bed. Some of its design elements were also Filipino, staying true to the hotel's overall look.

As an online worker, I appreciated the fact that the room had its own table and chair.

I spent a couple of hours getting some work done while in the comfortable room. There were also a handful of sockets in the room, which may seem like a minor detail, but for those who bring a lot of gadgets, it's a nice touch because they can charge multiple items simultaneously.

The toilet and bathroom were also spacious and clean.

Another detail I appreciate is that the toilet had a bidet. :D

Guests can also store there valuables in the safe; the room had its own refrigerator.

Here's a short video of the room:

Overall, the room was comfortable, spacious and had everything that guests may need throughout their stay.

The Facilities

The Legend Villas was aiming for an old colonial look reminiscent of Vigan, which it got right. The facade of the buildings reminded one of old houses from centuries ago.

The hotel had a small gym, which in my opinion was just an add-on and something to tick off a checklist to reach a certain rating.

The machines were in a cramped room but seemed like in good condition.

The pool area was a bit smaller than I expected, but it was good enough. The water is shallow, which make it kid-friendly. There were also comfortable chairs where guests can hangout and relax, whether they would swim or not.

I liked the hotel's reception area the most, the moment you step in, you'd feel like you were transported into another epoch. The furniture woodwork, decorations and other little details made the are distinctly old colonial Filipino.

The restaurant was also nicely laid out, enough room for moving to and fro, and intimate enough for close friends and family to enjoy the food.

The hotel also had a couple of rooms that guests can rent for a day or so, for conferences, gatherings and any occasion.

Overall, the facilities were good and had a distinct look.

Dining

To be consistent with its branding, the Legend Villas serves first-rate Filipino food.

I'm no expert nor am I a connoisseur, but I love the food served at the Legend. It's not cheap, but is good value for the price you pay for.

The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of food, from bread to viands to dessert.

Customer Service

The Legend Villas' aim was to make guests experience Filipino hospitality. The staff were nice and attentive to our needs. The check-in process was efficient and I had no problems checking out as well. The staff will greet you and will also smile. I'd say they got the Filipino hospitality down pat.
