Travel Guide Budget and Itinerary for Siquijor

Siquijor has grown in popularity over the years. This comes as no surprise because the small island has beautiful beaches with cerulean waters, waterfalls, a laid back vibe and mystical charm. I enjoyed my few days stay here and would highly recommend it.

Getting Around Siquijor

It is convenient to explore Siquijor because of its size. You can rent a motorcycle for around P400-P500 for the day. Rent a tricycle with driver for up to P1500 (three passengers) to visit the province's attractions. If you're traveling in a large group of up to 15 people, you can hire a multi-cab for P1800 for the day.

How to Go to Siquijor

Siquijor doesn't have its own airport, the nearest one is in Dumaguete. There are plenty of flights from Manila to Dumaguete. Book your tickets weeks or months before your trip. You can go straight to Dumaguete Port from the airport. Hire a tricycle to take you directly for P100 one way. Alternatively, you can go to the main road and hail a jeep to the city for just P10. Once in the city, you can either walk to the port or board a tricycle.

There are ferries leaving Dumaguete Port from as early as 5:45 AM to 7:00 PM. Try to arrive early to get tickets. The ticket for the ferry costs P120 one way and takes around two hours one way. The fastcraft costs P210 and takes about an hour one way. There's also a P25 terminal fee.

Where to Stay in Siquijor

There are a number of resorts, hostels and guesthouses in Siquijor. You can find a good beach front property online. Better to book your accommodation before going.
