Rejuvenating the Body at Polarity Prehabilitation

For those who work on a laptop a lot, I was beginning to feel chronic pain in the shoulder and neck area. The pain came and went, but I wanted to know the cause and preventive measures to relieve myself of it for good.

The Therapy

A the therapist told me, there are differences between physical therapy and massage, but some people interchange and confuse the two, both have benefits, but their use and effects are different. This cleared up a few misconceptions I had about the treatment and the pain I felt in the shoulder and neck area.

The therapist assessed what was causing the pain first before telling me the type of treatment I will be getting. He did so in a professional and knowledgeable manner, this is a good thing for those who can't pinpoint what is causing their body pain. He managed to determine the cause and what other parts are affected by simply feeling the muscles.

One of the treatments was similar to acupuncture; I found out that trauma can be a good and bad thing. It's bad for the muscles if you get it at a certain force, like in accidents, this may cause harm, structural damage and injury. However, if applied at a particular level, it triggers the body to increase blood flow to a part of the body, which helps in pain alleviation and even recovery.

The therapy included exercises to improve strength in problematic areas; this is necessary because lack of exercise forces muscles to overwork or overcompensate whenever you do routine things. The chronic pain felt by people with the same lifestyle as I, is partly because of weak muscles in and around the shoulders, and may extend to the neck. If you're doing these at home, you can replace the band with weights and do the same movements.

The Facilities

Other than first-rate service, Polarity Prehabilitation has top-notch facilities for therapy.

There is also a different room for hardcore weightlifters; the facility has Olympic-level weights for those who want to train rigorously and seriously.

Polarity provides different types of treatment and therapy depending on the needs of clients. They make adjustments depending on the response of a client's body and how effective treatment is. The assessment and therapy will be different from those who are competitive athletes, weightlifters or those who sit in front of a computer all day.

Another misconception is that people get therapy only if their pain is intolerable or if they want something treated. However, you don't need to be in chronic pain to get treatment. Therapy in Polarity may be a preventive option or it may even improve your body's abilities and condition.
