Getting Around Albay
It's easy to get around the region by public transportation. There are buses, jeeps, vans and tricycles that pass by different towns. You can ask if the tricycle driver will allow you to hire them for the day.
How to Go to Albay
The most convenient and fastest way to reach Albay is by plane to Legazpi City. There are regular flights to the city from Manila. Book weeks or months before your dates to get a good price.
Alternatively, you can board a bus from Metro Manila bound for Legazpi City.
Buses leaving from EDSA Cubao to Legazpi start at 6:00AM with the latest at 9:00PM. Penafrancia Tours and Isarog Line ply this route. Fares for this range from P1111 to P2089 depending on seat class.
Buses departing from Pasay Five Star to Legazpi start at 8:00AM with the latest at 8:00PM. Fare for this is around P881 one way.
DLTB buses leave from LRT Buendia Station at 8:15AM and 8:45PM. Fare is around P1100.
There are other buses that are bound for Legazpi City. The trip takes approximately 11-12 hours one way. I would suggest taking the overnight bus.
