Shiraz is Iran's cultural capital with many ancient sites that provide you with a glimpse of its storied past. I was in this city for a couple of days and didn't regret a minute of it, despite the long and tiring trip to get here from Tehran.
I visited Iran and one of the places I went to was Shiraz; the latter is the jump-off point for day trips to Persepolis. The ancient city is in ruins, but its legend goes beyond the borders of the country. It was amazing to see it even in its ruinous state.
I went to Iran with no expectations, as I went to some cities during my short stay, I visited some mosques and found them beautiful. These are more than just places of worship, walking into one provides a glimpse of the country's storied past, culture and daily life.
Here are the beautiful mosques I went to during my trip.
