Coron Island Escapade: Malcapuya and Banana Island, and Bulog Dos

I got the chance to return to one of my favorite destinations in the Philippines, Coron. It was my 3rd time going but I wouldn't mind going again and again. Coron is a beautiful destination. For this trip I decided to do a tour that I wasn't able to do the first 2 times I was here.

Coron The Wandering Juan

I had a great time just hanging out and swimming.

Island Hopping: Malcapuya Island, Banana Island and Bulog Dos

I immediately booked a tour that covered the different islands of Coron. Compared ot the other tours in Coron, this one only covered three places. One of the islands our group visited was Malcapuya. If I remembered correctly, our guide called this destination "Little Boracay". When we got there I can see why he gave it that particular moniker. The beach had powdery, white sand, and clear, blue-tinged waters perfect for swimming. It was a scorching summer day, but I didn't mind because I spent most of the time on the island in the water. It was my first domestic trip since the pandemic started and I wanted to have a chill time while I was in Coron.

Our next stop was Banana Island. The beach was smaller in size compared to Malacapuya, but it was beautiful as well. This was the stop where we had lunch and spent almost an hour in. I'm repeating myself but the beach here has fine, white sand and crystal clear waters that are so enticing.

Bulog Dos

The last stop of the tour was Bulog Dos. This destination is near one of the private island resorts in Coron (I forget the name). It has a viewpoint that provides you with overlooking views of the sea and the beach.

This tour doesn't offer as much snorkeling activities compared to other packages, but it's perfect for those who just want to soak in the views, go swimming or laze on the beach.
