I included a handful of day hikes when I planned my trip to Switzerland. One of the hiking trails that caught my attention was the Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg route.
Like the other hikes I did in the country, the views along this trail didn't disappoint.
Guide to Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg Trail
The Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg hike is a short one. It's an ideal addition to your itinerary if you don't have enough time to do the longer hikes. Visitors of all ability levels can do this hike. The trail is easy and straightforward. It takes roughly an hour and a half to finish from the cable car station to Kleine Scheidegg. It's possible to do the hike in either direction but many (including myself) recommend starting from Männlichen because it's downhill and it keeps the views of the mountains in front of you.
How to Get to the Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg Trail

From Lauterbrunnen
You'll have to board a train bound for Wengen first. Once in Wengen, hop on a cable car to Männlichen.
From Grindelwald
If you're staying in Grindelwald, you can take a direct cable car to Männlichen.
Once you arrive at the cable car station, look for the sign that points you to the Panorama Trail.

The Trail
I got lost when I arrived and couldn't find the trail. I ended up walking along the wrong path and decided to return. I eventually found the trail and was on my way.
I only saw a few people on the trail. It was low season that could probably be the reason. I was fortunate that the weather was nice during my trip.
The views were scenic and lovely throughout. I couldn't help but stop and stare whenever the mountain peaks revealed themselves.
I eventually made it to Kleine Scheidegg in around two hours. I took my time and soaked in the views. You can definitely finish faster.
You can combine this hike with others if you start early enough. Sync your itinerary with the schedule of the cable cars. Working around the timetable reduces your hiking/walking time.
