I did another hike while I was in Switzerland. I couldn't get enough of the mountains so I decided to do the easy Grütschalp, Mürren, and Gimmelwald trail.
If you like an easy trail, you might want to include this in your itinerary.
Guide to Grütschalp, Mürren, and Gimmelwald Trail
If you're looking for an easy trail with spectacular views, you've come to the right place. I was already in Lauterbrunnen, so I decided to do this hike. The valley was already beautiful and I was glad I decided to spend at least one night in the quaint town. Cable cars have made it easy to reach the start of trails with views of the mountains without working too hard to see them.
How to Get to the Trail
It's easy to get to Grütschalp. Your jump-off point is Lauterbrunnen Station. Get on the cable car to Grütschalp. Once at the station, you can easily find the start of the trail. You'll likely meet other travelers taking the same route. The one-way fare is around CHF 4.70 if you use a half-fare card. It's also possible to do the trail from Gimmelwald. However, a substantial part of this route is uphill.

I would recommend buying a Swiss Half Fare Card, get one here: Swiss Half Fare Card
The Trail
After alighting from the short cable car up, the passengers and I were already greeted with stunning views of the landscape. I took a few photos and immediately followed the trail. The start was mostly flat and easy to follow (you won't get lost here). It didn't take long before I got to see more views of the mountains.
It was smooth sailing throughout with plenty of gorgeous views. The weather was pleasant during my hike (which was fortunate).
This was the paved trail on the way down. This hike can take just a few hours even if you take multiple stops to take pictures and admire the view.
