I spent two weeks in Indonesia from Jakarta all the way to Bali.


Indonesia is diverse and has plenty to offer visitors who want a unique experience. The island is filled with friendly people and loads of things to do. Like in any country, even home, there are bad people and bad things still happen, but still my experience in Indonesia is something I won't forget.

I stayed in Yogyakarta for a week which gave me the opportunity to explore the city and take in its culture, slowly unlike my previous trips wherein I was rushing to get to places. This time around I took my sweet time.

I couldn't get enough of the temples in Yogyakarta (and I had a lot of free time), I decided to visit the lesser known temples surrounding the city.

After a few days of temple hopping, I was aching to do something else besides seeing ancient temples. I wanted to go to the beaches in Kukup and Krakal, but after asking around I found out that it was difficult to get to those beaches by public transport, so a new friend and I decided to head to Parangtritis instead.


We headed to Giwangan Terminal and waited for the mini-van that went to Parangtritis Beach.

Prambanan is one of the temples that I was able to cross out of my list during my trip to Yogyakarta. Honestly, I liked Candi Prambanan more than Borobudur.

I've been to quite a few temples in different parts of Southeast Asia, so a visit to another one in Yogyakarta seemed like routine.
